Slovenian Alphabet is an experimental vocal composition whose text consists of the individual letters of the Slovene alphabet, including the schwa. From the sounds of the vowels and consonants emerge onomatopoetic and characterful sonic gestures, shaped by the performers through extended vocal techniques such as gargling, chest percussion, and other bodily actions. The work explores the sonic qualities of language and the boundary between speech and music.
