Origami (ori = to fold, kami = paper) is a composition that evokes a sequence of paper folds and unfolds like the assembling of sound patterns in stages on the way to a goal – the final three-dimensional fold. A synonym for each completed fold is the tuning of a guitar string. The piece was composed in 2019 at the initiative of the DSS Society and commissioned by Nina Šenk.
